We only collect what we need to teach music and run our studio:
Personal Info: Name, email, phone, mailing address, date of birth for students
Lesson Info: Instrument, goals, progress notes, audio/video recordings of lessons with written consent

Payment Info: Processed securely through Square. We do NOT store credit card numbers.

Website Info: Cookies, IP address, pages visited via Google Analytics to improve our site

2. How We Use Your Information
We use your info only for:
Scheduling, billing, communication, creating lesson plans, and improving your learning experience.
For students under 18, we communicate with parents/guardians.

3. No Sale of Information to Third Parties
We will never sell or rent your personal information.
We only share data with trusted service providers who help us run Mimic: Stripe/Square for payments, Zoom for virtual lessons, Google for analytics, and our email provider. They are contractually required to keep your data private.

Mobile/Texting: Mobile information will not be shared with third parties for marketing.
To opt out of texts, reply STOP.

4. Cookies & Advertising
Our website uses cookies and third-party tools like Google Analytics and Google Ads remarketing.This helps us show ads to people who visited our site. No personally identifiable information is collected through these ads.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings.

5. Children’s Privacy - COPPA
If you are under 13, we require parental consent before collecting any personal information. Parents may review, request changes, or delete their child’s information at any time.

6. Data Security & Retention
Your information is stored securely and only accessible by designated staff.
We retain student records for 3 years after lessons end, or until you request deletion.

You can request to see, correct, or delete your personal information at any time.
